Feb. 26, 2018—Consumer voters selected their favorite attractions at the recent Chicago Auto Show, and Jeep won multiple awards.

In voting conducted over the Chicago Auto Show’s 10-day public run, awards were voted on in the following categories: best all-new production, best concept vehicle, best green vehicle, best exhibit, and “vehicle I’d most like to have in my driveway.”

Jeep took home top billing in two of those categories, as noted in a report by Focus Daily News. The 2018 Jeep Wrangler won in the best all-new production category, while Jeep was also honored for best exhibit thanks in large part to its Camp Jeep Test Track.

BMW was recognized for best green vehicle, with the 2019 BMW i8, while the Cadillac Escala was tabbed best concept vehicle, and the 2018 Ford GT was the vehicle that most consumers wished was in their driveway. BMW has now won the best green vehicle honor two years in a row.

The eight finalists in most categories were selected by a jury of automotive experts. The manufacturer awards for “best of show” will be presented to the aforementioned winners at the annual Midwest Automotive Media Association Spring Rally, held annually at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis.
