Feb. 19, 2018—A dealership near Cleveland recently received an emailed death threat from a former customer.

According to a report, an employee of Nick Mayer Ford in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, reported on Feb. 3 that they had received the threatening email from a past client.

Officers eventually learned that the customer was upset because a vehicle he had purchased from the employee last summer needed several repairs.

Officers contacted the 54-year-old Cleveland Heights man, who said he had since sold the vehicle and only contacted the dealership because he was upset that he keeps receiving emails from the business. He was advised not to contact the dealership in the future, and employees of the dealership were advised to remove the man’s name from their mailing list.
