July 8, 2019—Automotive parts supplier, Denso, prepares for a shift in the industry and what that will mean for how the workforce is trained, reports Plastics News.

Denso is experiencing the tech-forward changes across their manufacturing facilities, especially as the automotive industry braces for disruption from forthcoming trends and electrification and automated driving.

As part of the efforts to change the way companies are thinking about manufacturing, Denso is predicting and preparing for a paradigm shift in mobility—what many in the automotive industry now refer to as CASE, or connected, autonomous, shared, and electrification. This means big leaps forward in information and smart technologies, changes in business models and supply chains, and an increased demand for workers who are equipped with advanced skills.
