April 25, 2018—BMW was set to debut its first fully electric SUV at the Auto China 2018 event in Beijing starting on Wednesday, according to alphr.com.

While BMW teased the release of the all-electric iX3 in March, the public will get a closer look in Beijing through May 4. This mark’s the German automaker’s first all-electric vehicle since the i3 was produced beginning in 2013.

The OEM recently released a teaser trailer for the iX3 on Twitter.

The iX3 is expected to be an all-electric version of BMW’s X3 mini SUV. BMW is working with Audi, Daimler, Volkswagen, Ford and others to create a European-wide charging network to support such vehicles, called Ionity, alphr.com noted.
