Feb. 16, 2018—Luxury auto brand Genesis recently gave $500,000 to the J. Paul Getty Museum in Brentwood, Calif., according to the Los Angeles Business Journal.

The gift was made in an effort to support the museum’s arts education and youth community programs.

The donation, which was announced on Feb. 13, continues Genesis Motor America’s commitment to innovative education in communities, the company noted in a statement. Genesis, of course, is the luxury brand of Hyundai Motor America.

The grant will fund education initiatives to benefit Title 1 high school students in the greater Los Angeles area. The initiatives are expected to serve thousands of Title 1 and underserved students in the program at the Getty Center, with potentially many more participating online.
