Former Autopart International President Passes Away

Feb. 1, 2018—Roger Patkin, the former President of Autopart International (a subsidiary of Advance Auto Parts), has died.

Patkin passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 30. He served as the president of Autopart International from 1990–2011, and remained on its advisory board until his passing. Patkin had a passion for the business, and was an active member of several industry associations, a list that included a role as a board member of the Auto Care Association from 1995–2005.

Additionally, Patkin—who was 55 when he passed away after a long battle with cancer, according to legacy.com—was a lecturer at Tufts University, starting in 2016.

The former industry leader is survived by his wife, Susan, three children Jake, Julia and Carly, his brother Todd and sister Kimberly, his father Stephen, and his mother, Sally.
